Australia’s premier independent ATM deployer, Banktech, enhances reach for cryptocurrency transactions.
In a groundbreaking move, Banktech, the leading independent ATM deployer in Australia, is gearing up to provide nationwide accessibility to cryptocurrency users through its CashConnect ATM Plus network.
Crypto enthusiasts will soon be able to conveniently deposit and withdraw cash from their accounts at any CashConnect ATM Plus terminal.
With a vast network comprising over 2,600 CashConnect ATMs nationwide, Banktech is in the process of upgrading its ATM fleet to integrate new advanced “ATM Plus” functionality, enabling seamless digital transactions for the growing cryptocurrency market.
Today, Banktech boasts over 800 “live” ATM Plus terminals and expects to convert more than 1,800 terminals by mid-2024.
David Glen, Managing Director of Banktech, emphasised the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, stating, “Banktech’s primary role is to offer customers convenient access to their funds no matter where they live. Our extensive ATM network, spanning metropolitan, rural and regional areas, caters to diverse needs and will increasingly support a variety of products and services.”
David Glen noted, “conversations have been initiated with leading cryptocurrency providers, and we anticipate a launch early next year. These providers are eager to extend their services to more locations and offer the option of cash transactions that are particularly important in regional and remote areas.”
Feedback from venues with existing Banktech ATMs has been overwhelmingly positive. The expanded services not only attract increased foot traffic but also underline Banktech’s commitment to supporting its ATM venues and their customers.
